Open Question: How do I replace a power steering pump?

I love my little car, but it died because the pump broke and the bad pump made a belt fall the eye off or something that made the battery not charge. I really am more a computer person, so I would appreciate if you would give me step by step instructions. How hard could it be, cars and computers are both machines right? If you need to know what kind of engine it is, it’s a 2.5 Litre V6 Duratec DOHC.
